What do I get for becoming a Path Maker? Apart from the immense satisfaction of being part of this unique collaborative project with thousands of other potters from around the world:
•1• your name will be included in the list of Path Makers on this web site
•2• at the end of the project a large 'virtual path' will allow each tile to be seen with the name and contact details of individual makers.
•3• an e-photograph of your tile in the finished Path will be e-mailed to you
•4• a list of all Path Makers will be e-mailed to you as a word document
•5• your name will be included in the material which will be sent to the National Archives of Wales when the project is completed. This archive will include a "site map" with your name and a description of the tile/s you made and contributed, as well as any other information you have sent.
•6• a link to it will be added from the special Path Makers Links Page to your own web site
•7• maybe even other perks and commissioned work? Some Path Makers have received commissions from Chapel of Art clients who liked their work, several have become regular exhibitors and one has been included in a book about tiles.
What will happen to my tile? All suitable tiles are exhibited in The Chapel of Art before being stored away. That is why we request publicity material and information about each Path Maker to exhibit with their tile as well as to add to the archives. Once enough tiles have arrived, the next section is laid. Work is currently being added to Phase Two
The exhibited tiles are just as inspiring as The Path itself, especially when names, emblems or symbols of countries of origin inspire new ideas.
