Artist's Profile:
Ron Scarpello was born in Malta, but has lived and worked in North Wales for many years.
Using local materials such as slate and stone, he makes small pots, vessels, boxes and other fine items.
He often uses mother-of-pearl, wood, marble or other materials as inlays. Inlaid work is always in a contrasting colour and material to the base slate or stone used.
