A Centre of Excellence
Yes, indeed! The Chapel of Art really is a "Centre of Excellence for The Arts", yet it remains one of the best kept secrets in Wales and a hidden treasure although it is mentioned in many glossy magazine articles and publications such as Lonely Planet Wales, the Country Living Guide to Rural Wales and the Rough Guide to Wales as follows:

Rough Guide to Wales, Revised Edition, June 2000:

"Just down from the castle towards the beach, don't miss the impressive Chapel of Art… a nineteenth-century chapel that has been beautifully restored to house exhibitions - many are culled from amongst the thriving local artistic community, although those from further afield get a look in too. It's also a venue for year-round concerts and classes - call ahead to see what's on - and a good place to check out happenings in the vicinity. Outside, the front of the chapel has been re-landscaped with an International Pottery (sic) Path, opened on 31 December 1999, comprised of hundreds of pottery tiles sent by artists the world over."

The Chapel of Art
The CoA for short - is run by Eckhard and Janet Kaiser, who have provided this wonderful venue and host many different events throughout the year.

Since opening in 1995, exhibitions have been visited and events attended by around a hundred thousand individuals, or over 10,000 adults plus children each year.

Many return having discovered this remarkable little gem and the visitor's book is full of highly complimentary comments.
