Artist's Profile: Teena Gould is an international prize winning ceramic artist who lives and works in Carmarthenshire, Wales, UK.
Her ceramic education started with a foundation course at Stockport College. In 1970 she graduated from Cardiff College of Art (Ceramics and 3D Design), followed by a post-graduate certificate (P.G.C.E.) at Goldsmiths College, London.
Teena Gould first exhibited at The Chapel of Art in 1996 and her work has been on exhibition ever since. Some of Teena Gould's major works are held in the national collections of Australia, Finland, Japan and the USA, and she has represented Wales at several international ceramic symposia around the world.
Teena Gould works in her garden studio, but is inspired by the rocks and geographic formations of the Welsh landscape and coastline. Designing and producing a range of ceramics and mosaics for buildings and garden areas, has lead to many public and private commissions. Teena Gould also enjoys working with children and young people on projects designed to improve their everyday environments.
