Artist's Profile:
An active member of the North Wales Potters Association NWP, Ray Dunn is currently establishing a studio workshop in the mountains of Snowdonia. He is also building a wood-fired kiln to his own design and which he hopes will be ready to fire for the first time in the coming year.
Ray Dunn works both in high-fired stoneware and porcelain using thrown and hand-built techniques. Here a stoneware Vase Jug and a free-form porcelain vase made using slab techniques. Ray is happiest when a functional form has some sculptural element - often quirky and innovative.
Ray Dunn is a regular exhibitor at The Chapel of Art and is a Path Maker.
